FittingMe.AI — Virtual Fitting Room Application
Last updated: March 1, 2026 Version: 1.0
In accordance with Article 50 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 of June 13, 2024 (AI Act)
1. Purpose of This Notice
This transparency notice informs users of the FittingMe.AI application about the artificial intelligence (AI) systems used within the Service, in accordance with the transparency obligations set out in Article 50 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (AI Act).
FittingMe.AI uses artificial intelligence to provide its core features. None of the images produced by the Service are real photographs. They are synthetic images generated by AI algorithms.
2. AI Systems Used
FittingMe.AI integrates four distinct artificial intelligence systems, each serving a specific function:
2.1. Facial Analysis
| Element | Detail |
|---|---|
| What this system does | From a photo of your face, this system automatically identifies certain physical attributes: skin tone, eye color, hair color, and estimated age range. |
| Why | These attributes personalize your virtual body model and improve the relevance of clothing suggestions (e.g., considering your skin tone for color recommendations). |
| AI provider | Google Gemini (Google Ireland Limited) |
| AI system type | Multimodal language model (image analysis) |
| AI Act classification | This system may be considered high risk within the meaning of Annex III of the Regulation, insofar as it processes biometric data. FittingMe.AI implements appropriate compliance measures. |
| What the system does NOT do | It does not perform biometric identification (it does not identify you among other people). It does not recognize your emotions. It does not determine your ethnic origin. |
| Limitations and inaccuracies | The extracted attributes are estimates that may be inaccurate, particularly for age range and skin tone. Results may vary depending on photo quality, lighting, and individual characteristics. |
| Your control | You can delete your photos and the attributes derived from them at any time from the Application. Processing is based on your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time. |
2.2. Virtual Body Model Generation
| Element | Detail |
|---|---|
| What this system does | From photos of your body, this system generates a synthetic image representing your virtual body model. This image serves as the basis for virtual try-ons. |
| Why | The virtual body model allows you to see how garments might look on you without physically trying them on. |
| AI providers | OpenAI (primary provider); Google Gemini (fallback provider) |
| AI system type | Generative image models (diffusion) |
| AI Act classification | Limited risk system under Article 50 — transparency obligations: marking content as AI-generated. |
| What the system does NOT do | It does not accurately measure your body. It does not provide medical diagnoses. The proportions shown are approximations. |
| Limitations and inaccuracies | The generated image is an artistic approximation, not a faithful photographic representation. Body proportions, skin texture, and physical details may not exactly match reality. |
| Your control | You can delete your virtual body model and source photos at any time. Processing is based on your explicit consent. |
2.3. Virtual Try-On (Image Generation)
| Element | Detail |
|---|---|
| What this system does | This system combines your virtual body model with a garment image to generate a synthetic image showing what the garment might look like on you. |
| Why | To allow you to visualize how a garment would look on you before purchasing it or planning an outfit. |
| AI providers | OpenAI (primary provider); Google Gemini (fallback provider) |
| AI system type | Generative image models (diffusion) |
| AI Act classification | Limited risk system — transparency obligations (Art. 50(2): AI-generated content is marked as such). |
| WARNING | Virtual try-on images are synthetic images generated by artificial intelligence. They are NOT real photographs. They do not constitute a faithful representation of how a garment would actually look on you. The actual fit may differ significantly in terms of cut, drape, color, and size. |
| Limitations and inaccuracies | Rendering of textures, patterns, and colors is approximate. Fabric drape and cut are not faithfully reproduced. Size and proportions may not match reality. Results should not serve as the sole basis for a purchasing decision. |
| Your control | You can delete try-on images at any time. Each try-on requires an action on your part (there is no automatic processing). |
2.4. Garment Analysis
| Element | Detail |
|---|---|
| What this system does | From a garment photo, this system automatically identifies its attributes: type (shirt, pants, dress...), dominant color, pattern (solid, striped, floral...), and estimated material. |
| Why | To automatically categorize your garments for easier wardrobe management and improved clothing suggestions. |
| AI provider | Mistral AI (France) |
| AI system type | Multimodal language model (image analysis) |
| AI Act classification | Minimal risk system — this processing does not involve personal data in the strict sense (garment images, not people). |
| Limitations and inaccuracies | Categorization may be inaccurate, particularly for unusual garments, accessories, or poor-quality photos. Perceived colors may differ depending on the photo's lighting. |
| Your control | You can manually edit the attributes assigned by the AI. You can delete any garment from your virtual wardrobe. |
3. Clothing Suggestions
In addition to the AI systems above, FittingMe.AI offers automated clothing suggestions based on:
- your garments' attributes;
- weather conditions at your location (if you have enabled this feature);
- your clothing preferences.
These suggestions are generated by a rules engine (a deterministic algorithm, not based on machine learning). They do not constitute professional fashion or styling advice. You are free to follow or ignore them.
4. AI-Generated Content Marking
In accordance with Article 50(2) of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689:
- AI-generated images (virtual try-ons, body models) are clearly identified as such in the Application through visual marking.
- Image metadata includes an indication of their synthetic nature.
- When you share AI-generated content outside the Application, we ask that you maintain this identification.
5. Human Oversight
- No automated decision with legal effects is made by FittingMe.AI's AI systems (Art. 22 GDPR).
- AI results are provided for informational and illustrative purposes.
- The user retains full control: they decide which photos to upload, which try-ons to perform, and which suggestions to follow.
- FittingMe.AI does not engage in profiling within the meaning of Article 4(4) GDPR that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
6. Your Rights Regarding AI Processing
Under the GDPR and the AI Act, you have the following rights in connection with AI processing:
- Right to information: this notice.
- Right to withdraw consent: you may at any time stop using AI-dependent features and delete the associated data.
- Right of access: you may request which data has been processed by AI systems and what results have been produced.
- Right to erasure: you may request deletion of your photos, virtual body model, and all AI-generated images.
- Right not to be subject to automated decision-making: no decision producing legal effects is made solely on the basis of automated processing.
- Right to lodge a complaint: you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr) or your national data protection authority.
To exercise these rights: contact@fittingme.ai — subject: "AI Rights".
7. AI Sub-processors and Processing Locations
